A FEW COLORFUL DETAILS
Curious minds welcome.
Made for a little moment of play.
No perfect palette required.
Is this a famous cartoon character color quiz?
Pocket Palette uses original characters made for this game, rather than characters from existing cartoons or games. You see each target color first, then recreate it from memory. No cartoon knowledge needed.
How is my color match scored?
We compare your mix and the original using CIELAB color distance (Delta E 76). Each score is rounded from 100 × exp(−distance ÷ 25): smaller distances earn higher scores, and an exact match earns 100. Five scores add up to a maximum of 500.
It’s a playful approximation, not a vision test. Screens, lighting and individual color perception can affect the experience.
Can I play without a timer?
Yes. Enable “Take your time” at the bottom of the game. Study the color as long as you like, then choose “Remember it now” to hide it and start mixing. You can also use your keyboard to adjust the sliders.
Are my scores saved or uploaded?
The game does not save or upload your guesses or scores. Reloading the page resets your game. “Share result” opens sharing options or copies a result only when you choose it. See our Privacy & ads page for hosting and advertising details.
Does every game have the same characters?
Each game selects five different characters from a cast of eight. Their signature colors stay the same, so you may remember a familiar friend when you play again. There’s no daily limit.
