MapleStory Classic World NPC guide: Victoria Island towns and services

Find your job instructor, citizenship contact, housing registrar, crafting teacher, and party-quest NPC without mixing up their roles.

01Find the service before planning the journey

Use this directory when you know what you want to do but cannot remember the right town or contact. Start with a job, a home, a craft, or a party quest, then check the matching NPC and access requirement. Several towns have more than one useful contact, so arriving in the correct town is only the first step.

The official Victoria Island map below is an overview. The directory gives the towns and building names published by Nexon, rather than invented portal directions or map coordinates. For a contact whose exact location is not specified in the launch notes, use the current in-game information before spending money on travel.

02Job instructors: four towns, four starting families

All four first jobs become available at level 10. Return to the same instructor at level 30 for the next advancement and follow the current quest dialogue. A teacher for another family is not a substitute for your own.

For example, a future Cleric starts with Grendel the Really Old in Ellinia, while a future Spearman starts with Dances with Balrog in Perion. Decide which branch you want before selecting a destination.

03Citizenship and housing: do these in order

Citizenship becomes available at level 12. Start with Arthur or Roxy; visit the housing registrar after you meet the citizenship and Visitor-grade requirement. The registrar sells a home for mesos, so check the displayed price as well.

The Community Board has requests from local residents. Completing those requests earns Contribution toward your Citizenship grade. It has a different role from the citizenship contact and the housing registrar.

04Crafting contacts: match the profession name

Crafting opens at level 10. Each of the six professions has a named contact. Use the exact profession name when checking a recipe; a weapon-related recipe and a material-related recipe do not automatically belong to the same crafting list.

The launch notes identify these NPCs but do not provide a complete town-and-coordinate directory for them. This table therefore lists only the verified profession-to-NPC pairs. At the NPC, inspect the available recipes, required quantities, and your skill progression before committing materials.

05Party quests and event contacts

Meet Lakelis in Kerning City for First Time Together. Entry requires level 21 or above, and the party quest is available on Channels 3–12. Agree on an eligible channel with your party before assembling.

Event contacts depend on the named event and its dates. The Journey Begins uses Maple Administrator, while The Marks We Leave Behind begins with Jay in Henesys. Malady’s Halloween Candies event is scheduled to open October 28; it is not active as of this October 26 update.

06If the NPC does not offer what you need

If those checks do not explain the missing option, record the NPC name and exact dialogue before asking Player Support. A screenshot of the message is more useful than repeatedly visiting unrelated NPCs. Do not assume an old MapleStory or another server’s quest route applies to Global Classic World.
