Getting started / MapleStory Classic World

MapleStory Classic World beginner roadmap: level unlocks from 10 to 30

See when jobs, crafting, citizenship, trading, and your first party quest become available.

01Begin on Maple Island

New adventurers begin on Maple Island before moving on to Victoria Island. An account can have up to three characters.

Keep your next unlock in mind rather than trying to plan every later build at once. The first major milestone is level 10, when both first job advancement and crafting become available.

02The milestones to keep handy

These are launch requirements for Global MapleStory Classic World. Some features have conditions beyond the level itself.

MilestoneWhat becomes availableExtra condition or next step
Level 10First job advancementWarrior, Magician, Bowman, or Thief; visit the matching town and instructor.
Level 10CraftingVisit the NPC for your chosen profession and inspect recipes.
Level 12CitizenshipSpeak to the citizenship contact in Henesys or Kerning City. Housing also requires Visitor grade or higher.
Level 15 + 24 hoursAll trading featuresThe account timer begins after a character reaches level 15.
Level 21+First Time Together party questChannels 3–12; speak to Lakelis in Kerning City.
Level 30Second job advancementFollow the branch belonging to your first-job family.
Level 100Launch level capThis is the cap stated in the October 21 launch notes.

03Turn the roadmap into a small plan

Pick one goal that matches how you want to play, then use its dedicated guide for the details.

  • Want a particular second job? Choose its starting family before your first advancement.
  • Want to decorate a home? Follow citizenship and grade progress; level 12 alone is not enough to buy.
  • Want to trade with friends? Note when a character reaches level 15 so you can track the 24-hour wait.
  • Want a party session? Reach level 21 and agree on an eligible channel before meeting Lakelis.

04What this launch roadmap does not include

Forgotten Hollow is not part of the launch content. The October 21 announcement says it is planned for November; that is a release plan, not confirmation that it is already available.

This roadmap summarizes official requirements and has not been tested through gameplay. It does not claim a fastest leveling route, recommended grinding maps, or an optimal build. Check later official notices for changes.
