Where is Jake, Jane Doe, Maya or Pia? MapleStory Classic World NPC locations

01All locations at a glance

Map names below are the names shown in game. If an NPC is not where you expect, check that you are on the named map rather than the town next to it: several of these NPCs stand on small side maps, not in the town centre.

02Kerning City: Jake and Jane Doe

Jake does not stand in Kerning City itself. He is on the Subway Ticketing Booth map, which connects Kerning City to Line 1 <Area 1> of the subway. Enter the subway entrance from Kerning City and he is on the first map.

Jane Doe is in Niora Hospital. That map has two exits: one back to Kerning City and one to The Murky Swamp I. Her first quests, Stranger’s Request and Stranger’s Identity, need level 23; her longer citizenship story starts at level 37.

03Henesys: Maya, Pia, Bruce and the Maple Administrator

• Maya stands on Henesys Townstreet, the street map next to Henesys. Her first quest, Maya of Henesys, needs level 21; the collection quests open at 30 and 47.
• Pia is in Henesys Park. Pia and the Blue Mushroom opens at level 16, and her snail quests (The Old Snail and the rainbow snail shell quest) at level 20.
• Bruce is in Henesys itself. He starts I Need to Find My Daughter 1 at level 11 and gives citizenship quests from level 17.
• The Maple Administrator who runs the launch events is listed in both Henesys and Kerning City.

04Who is Bruce’s daughter?

The quest chain I Need to Find My Daughter starts with Bruce in Henesys. Part 1 is handed in to Ayan in Perion, and Ayan gives part 2, which you take back to Bruce. Later, A Father’s Love for His Daughter (from Bruce) is completed with Ayan, and The Best Dad (from Ayan) returns to Bruce.

In short: when a quest asks you to find Bruce’s daughter, travel to Perion and talk to Ayan.

05Perion: Winston on East Rocky Mountain II

Winston is not in Perion town. Leave through Perion Street Corner to East Rocky Mountain I, then continue to East Rocky Mountain II. Red Snails, Stumps and Axe Stumps spawn on his map.

His fossil quests start at level 17. At level 34 he gives Truth of the Rumor, Stump Research and Monstrous Tree Stumpy, the last of which asks you to defeat the boss Stumpy.

06Maple Island: Heena and Maria

Heena is the first quest NPC most characters meet, at Mushroom Town – West Entrance. Her quest Borrowing Sera’s Mirror is available from level 1.

Maria is on A Split Road, which joins Southperry, Snail Hunting Ground III and The Field West of Amherst. Her quest Letter for Lucas needs level 2.

07Which of these count for citizenship greetings?

Jake, Jane Doe, Maya, Pia and Bruce each have a daily First Greeting and Asking After quest for citizenship (level 12+). If you are building your citizenship grade, these five are worth visiting on the same trip.
