Compare two supplies using your shop prices, missing HP and MP, wasted recovery and mesos budget.

Compare what each use actually restores

A large potion can waste recovery when your bar is nearly full. Set the amount of HP or MP you are usually missing, then compare two supplies at the prices you can buy them for.

Why a bigger potion can be worse value

With 300 HP missing, a Red Potion restores 100 HP for 50 mesos: 2 HP per meso. An Orange Potion restores 250 HP for 150 mesos: about 1.667 HP per meso. Red is cheaper per recovered HP, while Orange restores more HP in one use.

With only 60 HP missing, either potion restores 60 useful HP. Their effective value becomes 1.2 versus 0.4 HP per meso. That is why the amount missing matters. If you need both HP and MP, compare the two efficiencies separately before using their equal-weight sum.

Starter references you can edit

These eight examples use the community reference linked below, checked October 28, 2026. They are reference shop prices, not a claim that every merchant charges the same amount. Check your current shop, item description and access requirements.

Orange (fruit) restores MP; Orange Potion restores HP. “0” means that resource is not restored by the listed item.

How the comparison works

  • Effective recovery per use = the smaller of the item’s recovery and your shortfall.
  • Recovery per meso = effective recovery ÷ the price of one item.
  • Cost per 100 recovery = 100 × price ÷ effective recovery. No recovery means this cost is not applicable.
  • Items within budget = budget ÷ unit price, rounded down. Purchase cost = items × unit price.

This tool handles fixed HP/MP recovery. Percentage recovery, buffs, cooldowns, healing received modifiers and combat survival are outside its model. For a percentage item, first work out its actual fixed recovery for your character; do not type “50” to mean 50%.
