MapleStory Classic World equipment stat requirement calculator

Check your level and STR, DEX, INT or LUK shortfall before spending AP or buying equipment.

Check one equipment requirement

Compare an item's required level and one stat with your character. Keep the item tooltip open: other stats, job restrictions and equipment conditions still need a separate check.

How the check works

  1. Add your base stat to bonuses from equipment you can already wear and will keep after the swap.
  2. Subtract that total from the target item's stat requirement. If the result is below zero, the stat gap is zero.
  3. Compare the gap with your currently unassigned AP, assuming one AP adds one point to the selected base stat.
  4. Check level separately. A stat increase cannot make up for an item-level requirement.
CheckCalculation
Current total statBase stat + retained equipment bonus
Missing statMaximum of 0 and (required stat − current total stat)
Missing levelsMaximum of 0 and (required level − character level)
AP still neededMaximum of 0 and (missing stat − unassigned AP)

Worked example: a 20-LUK requirement

Suppose your level-30 character has 10 base LUK, 5 LUK from equipment you will keep, and 8 unassigned AP. For the listed level-30 Mithril Wand example, the total is 15 LUK and the gap is 5. Adding exactly 5 base LUK would cover that one stat gap and leave 3 AP unassigned.

If the character were level 29, the tool would still show one missing level. If the new wand itself gives a bonus, do not count that bonus toward the requirement needed to put it on.

Before you spend AP or buy an item

  • A passing result covers only the entered level and one stat. It does not check other stat requirements, your job, equipment slots, buff expiry, access to an item or the current item tooltip.
  • Use bonuses that remain available independently of the new item. Remove bonuses from gear you are replacing; avoid circular plans where two unequippable items are used to qualify for each other.
  • This is a requirement check, not a damage, accuracy or best-build recommendation. Enough DEX to equip a weapon does not prove you can reliably hit a particular monster.
  • Inputs are whole numbers. Levels are limited to 1–100 for the documented launch scope; stat and AP inputs allow 0–9,999, and retained gear may have a net negative bonus. These input limits are not a claim about every in-game stat cap.
  • Calculations run in this page. Inputs are not saved or sent; reload or Clear values to start again.

Sources and example scope

The three optional wand examples and the distinction between base and equipment stats come from the community guides below, reviewed for our Classic World articles on October 28, 2026. They are a small reference set, not a complete equipment database or a claim that this site tested those items in game. The arithmetic is shown above so you can use your current tooltip instead.

Your inputs and results stay on this page. They are not saved or sent to a server. Privacy details.
