MapleStory Classic World Page build: sword or blunt weapon, Threaten and SP from 30

Advance to Page at level 30, choose between sword and blunt weapon, follow a community SP order from 30 to 39 and pick training maps up to level 70.

01Becoming a Page

Nexon’s launch notes put second advancement at level 30 with your first-job instructor; for Warriors that is Dances with Balrog in Perion. Page is one of three Warrior branches, alongside Fighter and Spearman. Third job (White Knight) is not in the game yet, so plan for levels 30 to 70.

The build below summarises Nia Meow’s Page guide on NiaMeowDB (updated October 28), which is based on a realistic level 70 build by Grummash. It is a community route, not an official recommendation, and this site has not played it through. Check your own skill window before spending points.

02Sword or blunt weapon

Both families have one- and two-handed weapons, and only one-handed weapons allow a shield. Mastery, Booster and Final Attack each belong to one family, so decide before you put points into them.

FamilyMastery bonus at maxNotes
Sword+20 accuracyMore consistent damage with a tighter minimum roll
Blunt weapon+20% critical damageWider damage rolls; a craftable level 40 option (Titan)

03AP: STR first, DEX only for requirements

Put AP into STR. Add DEX only when your next weapon’s total DEX requirement (base plus gear) is not met. The sample build is 135 STR / 27 DEX at level 30 and 302 STR / 60 DEX at level 70, before gear. If your attacks miss, check accuracy against the monster you are fighting rather than adding more damage.

05Key skills

Power Strike and Slash Blast remain your main attacks until third job. v1.1.0 (October 29) fixed Rush so its range now increases from 130 to 150 at rank 10, as the skill description says.

ThreatenSlows up to 4 monsters and lowers their weapon defence (physical attacks only)10 MP at rank 1, 25 MP at max

07Strengths and weaknesses

  • Strong damage per MP: second-best of the second jobs at level 70 in the source’s benchmark.
  • Threaten slows four monsters and lowers their defence for the whole party’s physical attacks.
  • One-handed builds can carry a shield.
  • Short reach and little mobility mean you take hits often.
  • Threaten needs frequent recasting and only reaches four monsters.
