01Becoming a Spearman
At level 30, talk to Dances with Balrog in Perion, complete the instructor’s test, bring back The Proof of a Hero and choose Spearman. Third job (Dragon Knight) is not in the game yet.
The build below summarises Nia Meow’s Spearman guide on NiaMeowDB (updated October 29), which is based on a realistic level 70 build by Grummash. It is a community route, not an official recommendation, and this site has not played it through. Check your own skill window before spending points.

Nexon · Official launch notes02Spear or polearm
Mastery, Booster and Final Attack only work with the matching family. Spears and polearms are two-handed, so Spearmen cannot use a shield.
| Family | Mastery bonus at max | In the source’s tests |
|---|---|---|
| Spear | 20% chance to ignore weapon defence | Usually faster weapons |
| Polearm | +20 movement speed | About 11% more damage at level 30 and 7% at level 70 |
03AP: STR with planned DEX steps
Each weapon needs total DEX equal to its level (Forked Spear at 30, Nakamaki at 35, and so on). The source keeps everything else in STR and adds DEX in small steps: +5 at 35, +4 at 40, +2 at 49, +5 at 50, +5 at 59–60 and +5 at 70. For accuracy it lists about 78 ACC for a 90% hit rate on Jr. Wraith (level 34).
